Dalton in Furness is one of the oldest towns in Cumbria,just a few miles from Ulverston to the East and adjoining the Town of Barrow in Furness to the West.
The Weslayans moved to Wellington Street in Dalton in 1864,and in 1868 the Sunday school was added .
The first Wesleyan minister in the town was Ralph Spoor who came in1865.
