The Pune International Airport is a small airport supporting both passenger and military aircraft.
Commercial Airlines
Domestic carriers are Air India, IndiGo Airways, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines and SpiceJet.
International carriers are Air India and Lufthansa.
Like most Indian Airports, there are ticket windows that will print out the flight verification that, with your identification, will get you into the terminal. After that, you go to another ticket window to get your boarding pass. Security screening is performed when you get to the pre-board area.
Military Aircraft
The Pune International Airport is shared with the Indian Air Force. Dotted along the airport on the aprons, there are lines of Soviet Aircraft that are used by the Indian Air Force. I witnessed one landing, but was unable to get a picture of it.
