Near Princeton, BC - if you head towards Tulameen and turn off at Coalmont and head up Loadstone mountain you can find this one. Depending on weather you may need snowmobile or 4x4 - wouldn't take a Civic to it.

Loadstone Lake, a place of beauty, serenity and another abandoned
cabin with history. The same as the Ammo Box we've used - it came
from Woodstock VI and was painted by the kids there. You can see it
in the picture (no that's not the hiding spot.. lol) We couldn't
resist picking up a few.
Jordy used to fly fish at loadstone lake, the fish are smaller now
- but still there. You'll find a forestry campground - with
outhouses - as well as one end of the Whipsaw 4x4 run (don't
attempt that without a second vehicle, winch and proper equipment).
Nearby is also the Loadstone Lookout with a Canadian Benchmark!
(we've placed it on Waymarking).
The cabin is amazing, right inside the front door, if you look
closely, you can see inscriptions from those that used it in 1936,
and in earlier years, as a shelter for ice skating etc - we think
this is about the time a lot of the roads were put through here.
The cabin is still used as a shelter by snowmobilers, as the
woodstove is still in good use, and so is the roof.
We invite you to come up to our home - take a drive through
Granite City on your way up (there is a cache there) and follow on
up past the coal mine (yes a real coal mine) and enjoy the beauty
of the area! Spend the night! Explore around - right now Thimble
berries, Saskatoon berries & wild strawberries abound in July
& August!
Below, under additional waypoints, we've listed the coordinates
for the lookout.. make sure if you can to head up there. Even if
you're vehicle can't make it all the way it's a short hike for a
specatulor 360 degree view!
