This odd place has been a Santa Cruz hole-in-the-wall restaurant for decades under several different owners. At first, it was a hamburger joint named "The Wagon Stop"; hence the wagon wheels. They are actual wagon wheels, built into the walls as the bricks were laid, with translucent plastic panels inside that make them like windows. There is one on either side of the building.
