Peter designed and created Saint Petersburg to be beautiful. As a Tzar, Peter brought reforms to Russia and Russian society.
Near the Neva River this famous statue has been the subject of epic poems, novels and folklore. Highly symbolic, Peter is shown on astride, crushing a snake beneath the horse's hooves.
Today newly weds arrive to have 'the' wedding photo taken.
