Here is a very small park that is nestled in between the multitude of historical buildings in the town of Stevensville, Md., Queen Anne's County.
There is very little here except for a bench, some beautiful flowers & a pergola but it is quite pretty.
Stevensville was founded in 1850. The numerous houses and commercial buildings in the district which were constructed in the late 19th century reflect Stevensville's early development as a center of steamboat-related trade and commerce for Kent Island. In 1909, railroad service was instituted in Stevensville, linking two major transportation modes and initiating a second boom in construction.
Today the steamboats are a faint memory & the trains are gone but over 100 buildings from that long ago period still remain. As you walk around this lovely little town you can't help but to come upon this quiet little oasis. take a minute to just sit & enjoy & maybe with a bit of imagination you will hear the whistles of those long gone boats & trains.
Because this is such a small park it will be difficult to get different pictures so use your imagination & then just add your thoughts of this special place.
