Kresge Auditorium is home to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Symphony, which is comprised of MIT students. Though MIT does have a music program, few students major in music at MIT. Thus, this is an activity beyond what they do for their major.

The symphony dates back to 1884, but went through several periods of being disbanded until 1947, when it was formed for good.

Their schedule is here and is open to the public.
