Melodiya Records - Calgary,AB - Independent Music Stores on Waymarking.com

This is an independent music shop that specializes in old vinyl records. They have a fairly large selection of rather eclectic artists. They also dabble in comics, old toys, cds, and anime and share a space with Phoenix comics.

I was surprised when I went in one day a couple of years ago and they actually had a copy of a Frigid Pink record that I had been looking for.

Although I can't be positive I believe that the store takes it's name from the Russian record company "All-Union Gramophone Record Firm of the USSR Ministry of Culture Melodiya" which was owned by the state.
