Dennis Lockling (1725-98), who had served in the early wars, was appointed on the committee of war, 30 Oct. 1776, at the convention at Westminster, Vt. He was born in Bolton, Mass.; died in Putney, Vt.

Vermont Constitutional convention of 1777 in Windsor.
