Starbucks, next door to the San Diego National Bank, in the Village Center shopping center. Nobody in the neighborhood calls it Village Center, though; Scripps Ranch residents tend to distinguish between their two main shopping centers by calling them "the big [or new] Vons" and "the little [or old] Vons" shopping center; this is the "little Vons." You will frequently see a fire engine parked outside and the local firefighters taking their coffee break here. Plenty of food options here, too, for when you want to shut off the wi-fi and have a bite: a French bistro, a Mexican take-out, a sushi bar, and a pizza joint.

As usual at Starbucks, you have to have an AT&T wi-fi account (T-Mobile is supposed to still work here, too), but Starbucks has an offer for limited free wi-fi if you buy one of their frequent-customer cards and use it a certain amount.
