South Connellsville Boro Park was established in the 1920s' In 1949 the Volunteer Fire Company Purchased it, they held festivals and carnivals on the grounds, they also had baseball, softball, and football leauges in the park until later in the 20th century when the Borough bought it back for grant-writing abilites for improvements. During the 1998 season a 1/2 mile walking trail, parking, and a modern latrine were added to the park. Also in 1998, the ball fields were improved.
