Site includes impoundments lined with mangroves on Indian River
Lagoon. Waders are common, and both night herons skulk in
mangroves. Area can have good migratory songbird “fall-outs”
during spring return migration.
DIRECTIONS: From US 1 in Ft. Pierce, go E on Seaway Drive,
across Indian River to S SR A1A. Site is approx. 2 mi. S on SR
A1A, on right (W) side of the road.
