This pedestrian bridge connects the Riverfront park to Long Island. The latter is a piece of the property still owned by the Cherokee Nation. There is a stone monument at the end of the bridge on the island listing the tribe clans. The bridge can be seen on the Google Earth maps.

Best access is to park in the very small lot for the Riverfront park, walk the paved path to the bridge, and then cross. (Yes, I like to sway the bridge while crossing.)

As of 10/1/2008, the bridge is closed as the city makes $50,000 worth of repairs. Expected reopening date is unknown, but my guess is by early spring.
