[Through the middle of the monument are the seals of each branch of the military: (from the left): US Army, US Navy, Marine Corps, US Air Force, & US Coast Guard.]
The upper plaque states:
In memory of all American Veterans
This memorial honors all American veterans who, although separated by generations, shared a common, undeniable goal--to valiantly protect our country's freedom. The memories of these American veterans will continue to live on whenever and wherever democracy exists. The American veteran--forever a symbol of heroism, sacrifice, loyalty and freedom .

Description of Memorial: Missouri granite monument. Bronze plaque with a WWI soldier, WWI battleship, a Jenny bi-plane, the Iwo Jima b flag raising, a field in Vietnam with Helo's over palm trees, a tank, the F-111, and a current boots, and helmet soldier down.
The lower plaque on the monument was formerly attached to the old court house, was removed and placed here when a new courthouse was built.
