Compass Tower is an eight sided storm tower on Compass Point, it was built in the 1820's as a Coastguard Shelter - its sides indicating the points of a compass. The cross on top of the tower is about 3ft high.
This tower would have been used for the coastguard to watch the
sea and cliffs.
