This is a popular tourist border crossing as one must cross from Maryland into Delaware to visit the fenced courtyard surrounding the lighthouse. The border is also marked by a stone set by Mason & Dixon in 1751 - this marked the E end of the MD/PA Transpeninsular Line (Delaware belonged to Pennsylvania at the time). At this point, the state Line follows the N edge of the sidewalk.
A must-see while visiting the area!
