Holston Valley Medical Center (just Holston Valley or HVH to the locals) is a 70-year old facility that continuously grows to cover the hillside. If you include the associated Wellmont buildings, the hospital probably covers a square mile. The main area is a 544-bed facility with specialized centers. Finding the main entrance or a parking spot can be a significant challenge.
All three of my children were born at this facility. Unfortunately had to spend a couple of days there last week as my wife fell and broke the end off her funny bone, which required surgery to stabilize for healing. Would recommend the hospital for its excellence.
