Who Put it Here?: The American Legion Posts of Lincoln County, Missouri

Description of Memorial:
A single white marble column rising from a concrete base. Atop the column is a sculptured eternal flame. This county seat is just above my county and not 20 minutes away, so I tend to take it for granted, and should not. Just down the street about 2 blocks is Fort Wood, when Lieutenant Zachary Taylor stood off attacks during the War of 1812.
