This mural portrays George Kennedy (1799-1870), the founder of Georgetown who built a saw and grist mill near this site. Behind him can be seen Wilber Lake, a mill-pond which later filled the area at the base of Mill Street, and an early 1900's view of Main Street looking northward (info taken from the mural).
