Some of the buildings that you'll see are the Sunset School, St. Rose of Lima c. 1918 Catholic Church, a blacksmith shop, the Land Office/Post Office, and several cabins and houses from the early 1900's. This was the last area in the continental U.S. that was homesteaded.
You'll find the museum directly across from the imposing Fort Rock volcanic tuff ring just off of the Oregon Outback Scenic Byway, a 170 mile byway showcasing the volcanic, high desert of Central Oregon.
