If memory serves me correctly (it has been a l-o-o-n-g time), this is where the Hudson River Dayline cruise boats used to dock. Back then, this area was just an unpaved parking lot.

It is now Waryas Riverfront Park. The structure is still available for use as a dock, but it gets much more use as a fishing pier.

Extends roughly 75 feet from shore.
