This memorial is situated on the tow path of the Great Western Canal. It is in memory of Pilot Flt Lt Roger Moore and Navigator Fg Off. Martin E J Archard who crashed at the spot on the canal on the 21 November 1961 in a Canberra Bomber RAF Serial no. XM266, they were on a training flight from Germany to Devon.
