This giant Candy Cane at the Barbara Fritchie Restaurant in Frederick MD has long been a local landmark and roadsign for good eats. The restaurant is located just west of the city of Frederick on US 40.

I can recall this Candy Cane being in place since at least the early 1970's when we moved into the area. It's the roadside landmark for the Barbara Fritchie restaurant frequented by locals, and it's a draw for tourists who pass by and see it.
The food is not fancy but it is good "home-style cooking" and it's served with a smile. They serve breakfast all day. Yum!
A Google search will find old unhappy reviews of the place, but new management has turned the restaurant back around. Our very recent visit found the place clean and the food good.
