This house is the only remaining residence within the manorial buildings. It is located near the Willington Dovecote and Stables which are Tudor in design and prime examples of this period's architecture. The house is now a private family home and was built at the same time as the Dovecote and Stables using the same materials. Later it was modernised and altered. Nearby are the Victorian farm buildings which were built by the Duke of Bedford and are now attractive family homes also. The old manorial wall still stands around the estate and once there was a medieval manor house, now long gone. It had a moat, drawbridge, mud walls, three gates and many domestic buildings attached to it.

The area once belonged to Sir John Gostwick, Master of the Horse to Cardinal Wolsey. Sir John is said to have entertained Henry VIII at the manor. The area is also haunted!
