Right in the midst of several war memorals in Battery Park in Charleston South Carolina is this very nice Child statue and fountain.

The insription on the base of the statue says:

Hirsch 1962 and "Given to the Children of Charleston by a friend."

The fountain still works and gives good clean drinking water.
