This church is just above the old Cleveland Elementary School my father attended and his family were once memebers of the congregation.
Originally, services were held at werea young Rev. James M. Chesney conducted evangelic services for two week in the sumer on 1910. Many responded to his energetic gospel and 37 professions of faith were recorded. Soon after a movement was started to build a permanent church. David McConnell donated the $75 to secure the one and a half acres of land.
The present building was dedicated in September of 1912. Six years later on Swptember 29th, 1918 the it was officailly organized as a Presbyterian church and in 1949 an eight room addition was completed.
