Pier Park is located in southeast Grand Island, Nebraska. The park consists of almost 31 acres for many outdoor activities.

The park is mainly known for its Skate Park with many types of rolls, jumps, etc. There are 2 lighted baseball fields, many play areas, 2 tennis courts, restrooms, and many picnic tables, with 4 covered picnic shelters. The Pier Lake is located inside Pier Park. The fountains located in the lake help keep the water aerated all year so the water doesn't freeze in the winter. Hundreds of Canada Geese, ducks of all kinds, find this a safe place to rest and stay during the winter until they migrate north. Many people come down to the lake to feed the ducks and geese, who put on quite a show for everyone. Kids under 16 and seniors over 65 can fish in the lake but must have a Nebraska fishing license.

The park offers numerous playground areas with equipment for all children.
There is a hard surfaced hike/bike trail that is connected to one of the many hike/bike trail circuits throughout Grand Island. These trails are available for walking, jogging, or bicycling.
There are 2 lighted baseball fields centrally located in the park.
2 Tennis courts are located between the Skate Park and Baseball fields.
There is a concession stand near the ball-field that is available during games.
2 Seasonal ADA accessible restrooms are located in the park, one between the park and ball fields and the other at the wading pool.
Pier Park offers the only Skate Park in Grand Island.
Pier Lake is located in Pier Park as well and offers fishing for those under 16 and over 65 years old. A Nebraska fishing license is required.
On any given day you will see several varieties of waterfowl making Pier Lake the place to go for the bird lovers in Grand Island, or as a fun day of feeding ducks, geese and squirrels.
A wading pool is located on the East end of the park and has off street parking and an attached restroom/bath-house.

Fountains: there are two fountains in Pier Lake that keep the water aerated year round.
Ponds/Lakes/Streams/Rivers/Beach: Pier Lake is located right inside the brick gate (where the coordinates were taken) and many geese and ducks make this lake home.
