The Paragon is a 5/8 scale model of the frame of a early 1900's halibut schooner. These vessels looked back to the age of sail and forward to the age of the engine.
This area has been used for centuries by the Duwamish people as a hunting, gathering and fishing ground.
From the late 1800's until the 1960's people settled here, then in the late 1960's the Port of Seattle planned to develop a terminal here, but stopped when archeological discoveries were made.
