The small entrance to this education center is located at 370 E Veterans Highway. A Smokey Bear sign guards the entrance.
Inside, visitors can hike, bike or even take horses through interprative, learning trails, aimed at educating about the native plants and animals of New Jersey, and educating on the continuing efforts of reforestation.
Many greenhouses are here, producing nearly 300,000 seedlings yearly for replanting programs. Tours of the greenhouses are avilable, and demonstrations on Wildlife Habitat Gardening, acorn planting, pruning techniques and even beekeeping!
This is a great effort of the Forestry Service to increase awareness and encourage volunteerism for the conservation of our forests.
