The Lakewood Lions Club holds an annual Renaissance Festival the third weekend in September, and have for over 25 years!

The festival started as a way for local charitable organizations to raise money for their causes, but the festival has grown in popularity and size. Now, it is complete with your period actors, musicians and champion jousters. There has been talk of making this festival part of a jousting competition. That would be exciting!
There are no permanent structures related to the faire in the park. The Lions club and period re-enactors make the environment fantastical.
Our Kiwanis Club sold turkey legs and beef ribs to the hungry jousting fans...
No loaded firearms...blades must be sheathed
