On 501 north of Bethel, Pennsylvania, this Smokey Bear sits in front of the Forest Fire Warden's house. Just a bit further up the road there are trail heads for the Appalachian Trail and State Game Lands.

We were on our way to play at Rasuch Creek Off-Road Park, whose lands border State Game Lands Number 80. We hopped onto 501 north, which is a windy, rollercoaster of a road, with numerous trailheads for the Appalachian Trail.
Smokey is a reminder to take care in the oncoming, beautiful forest lands.
***Look closely at the picture of me next to the Smokey Bear sign. Look who's in the doorway of the house in the background... Smokey is coming out of the house!!! He must live here.***
