One of the most celebrated of all scientists, Albert Einstein is immortalized on the moon with his own crater. Einstein is a large lunar crater that lies along the western limb of the Moon, making it difficult to observe from the Earth.
Lunar Orbiter III - at the end of its successful mission - crashed into the southwest edge of Einstein in 1967.

The statue of Albert Einstein on Earth is sitting outside the Parque de las Ciencias on a bench, at the posted coords, hoping you will sit with him a while. You can chat about anything and he will listen! But he really likes to know that you enjoyed your visit to the hands on science museum that is just beyond his reach.
