Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc., is the only kosher poultry processing plant that permits tours of its facilities. They invite small groups of no more than 10 participants to make an appointment for a personal tour of the high-tech plant operation.
Make an appointment for a tour at least one week ahead of time.
Empire Kosher is giving you an opportunity to visit there plant in Mifflintown Pa. These tours will include a live demonstration of the slaughter and will go through the first processing stages. They will also include a visit to the cooler area, turkey staging area, and chill pack packaging. The tours run from 11:00 to 1:00 on Tuesdays.
# All visitors are requested to maintain a high degree of personal cleanliness and wear hair and beard nets at all times while on the plant floor
# Rings (other than plain wedding bands), earrings, facial jewerly, watches, false eyelashes & fingernails shall not be worn in any production area
# Visitors are not permitted to chew gum, candy, cough drops, or use tobacco products in any production or storage areas
# No open-toe or high heel footwear is to be worn on the plant floor.
