Lysander Village Cemetery contains around 100 graves according to the Lysander cemetery history website I found. Personally, I only spotted 20-25 graves still containing markers and most of them were either broken or laying flat, almost completely buried into the ground. Only a couple of the stones were still readable, I chose to use Dennis Kennedy as the name to research, as it was the easiest one to read. His grave stone indicates he was buried here in 1834. According to cemetery records, 1824 was the oldest burial in this cemetery and The most recent one, was in 1928. The condition of the stones and the overall cemetery upkeep indicates that this cemetery no longer is regularly maintained and, other than those who keep records on these cemeteries, almost no-one even knows it is here.
