Beneath this Memorial have been buried 28 Capsules representing the Cities of Orange County, the County of Orange, and their Citizens. Sealed within the Capsules are various items gathered by the Citizens of each City, representing life in these Communities during our Bicentennial year 1976. The Capsules and their contents will remain preserved in a Vault beneath this Memorial for 99 years, to be opened at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2076.
