Darden Cemetery sits behind the Oak Hill Elementary School. Years ago the Oak Hill Rest Home sat on the same property.
Restoration of the cemetery which contains 45-50 graves was started in 1969. The steps and walkway were made from old bricks found in the cemetery. Most of the unmarked graves are those who were residents of the county poor house formerly located on Hargrove Road near the cemetery.
