"Clopper Lake is created by Seneca State Park Dam on the Long Draught Branch River in Montgomery County, Maryland and is used for recreation and flood control purposes. Construction was completed in 1975. It has a normal surface area of 350 acres. It is owned by Md Dnr-Land and Water Conservation Svc.
Seneca State Park Dam, also known as Clopper Lake is of earthen construction. Though originally completed in 1975, the structure was modified in 1975. Its height is 64 feet with a length of 580 feet. Maximum discharge is 2727 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 2792 acre feet. Normal storage is 1592 acre feet. It drains an area of 2.9 square miles."
