This lone historic gravesite holds the remains of two of the first settlers of Bradford Township in Rock County, WI. It is found in the south end of Carver-Roehl County Park. Trail access is at the corner of Carvers Rock Rd and Creek Rd.

The stone's inscription:

MARY GILSON CHASE
1807 - 1843
WILLIAM M. CHASE
1832 - 1845
WIFE & SON OF Wm C. CHASE
FIRST SETTLERS IN TOWN
OF BRADFORD IN 1836

To the right of the engraved stone is what appears to be another headstone set vertically into the ground. This is likely the original marker that is now too weathered to read.
