This is one of many contributing homes to the Moorestown Historic District which line Chester Avenue. Most of these homes are extremely huge and heavily landscaped compared to their Main Street counterparts, less than a half mile away.

I had a pleasant conversation with the homeowner. She has lived in this house for the last 40 years and disagrees with the official age of the house. She believes the house to be built in 1905, not 1900 as indicated by the official records. In the picture note the worker reapplying battleship gray paint to the steps.

Located at 321 Chester Avenue a quarter mile or so from downtown Moorestown, this is one of 351 contributing buildings/structures to this historic district..

The Department of the Interior sent me the following narrative/information on this house:
"c.1900. 2 ½ story Colonial Revival-style house. Stone foundation, wood clapboarding, pilastered end walls. Portico with paired Doric columns and balcony above. Central entrance, paneled door, fanlight and sidelight. Flanking paired 12/1 double hung windows at first floor. Second floor central tripartite window, outer 12/1 double hung single windows. Molded box cornice. Three pedimented dormers; central tripartite, outers single. Side porch. Garage with end Doric columns. - Contributing.
