Near this location is Zagreb's Main Railway Station (just across the street, on the south). King Tomislav Square has nice fountain in the middle, and on the north side of the square it ends with the Art Pavilion (place for different art events).
Second Stop on this WayTour is the Ban Jelacic Square, the central square of the city of Zagreb. It is located below Zagreb's Upper Town and Kaptol. Ban Jelacic Square is junction of many streets: Ilica from the east, Radiceva Street from the northwest, Splavnica and Harmica from the north, Bakaceva Street from the northeast, Jurisiceva Street from the east, Praska Street from the southeast and Gajeva Street from the southwest. The square was established in the 17th century. It features buildings belonging to different architectural styles ranging from classicism, secession and modernism. The oldest standing building was built in 1827. Today one of the main landmarks on the Ban Jelacic Square is large statue of Ban Jelacic on a horse, created by Austrian sculptor Anton Dominick Ritter von Fernkorn, originally installed in 1866. Due to political reasons the statue was removed in 1947, and it was installed once again in 1990.
Third Stop of this WayMark is Zagreb Cathedral. Today's Cathedral in Zagreb is built in neogothic style between 1880-1902 by Austrian architect Hermann Bollé. It is 77 meters long and 48.20 meters wide with two spires of 108 meters height. Building of the first cathedral on this place was started in 1102. Building is completed in 1217 and then cathedral was built in romanic style. In 1242 Tatars invaded this region and the cathedral was destroyed. During 1254-1284 cathedral was rebuilt in gothic style. During the history there were many works on the cathedral. In 1880 earthquake destroyed cathedral. After that it is built in today's style (1880-1902).

Last, fifth Stop of this WayMark is at the St. Mark's Square in the Zagreb's Upper Town. You can get to the Upper Town by Funicular or by foot. On the St. Mark's Square stands the Church of St. Mark, dating way back to the 13th century, when it was the parish church of Gradec, an old Zagreb settlement. The church was built during 13th century in romanesque style, and some parts of the church are still from that period. In the second half of the 14th century the church was radically reconstructed and it was then turned into a late Gothic church. After that, St. Mark's Church was renovated in 1876-1882 by the architect Hermann Bollé. From that time comes the unique design of the church's roof. Tiles are laid so that they represent the coat of arms of Zagreb (white castle on red background) and Triune Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia. Additional renovation of church's interior was done by sculptor Ivan Mestrovic and painter Jozo Kljakovic in 1936-1938. On the eastern side of the square stands the Croatian Parliament building, while on the western side of the square is the Banski Dvori building. Banski Dvori was once where the Croatian Bans ruled, and numerous important events in Croatian history took place here. Today it is the building of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
