A rather splendid clock over the town hall. This clock can be seen all over Congleton.

The Town Hall was built in 1864 and opened in 1866. It was designed by Edwin Godwin, and is based on his design of Northampton Town Hall. Thanks to a Single Regeneration Grant of around £975,000 most of its interior was reinstated to its original design in 1996.
