The "Cow and Girl" logo was created in the 1970s to capture the country image that is the
Little Creamery in Brenham. Over the years, ice cream lovers have associated this symbol with fresh, quality and down home goodness that Blue Bell Creameries represents.

On June 28 [2007], a statue of the famous Blue Bell Cow and Girl logo was also unveiled by its artist Veryl Goodnight.
Live models of a Jersey cow and a young girl were used to create the statue. Goodnight visited a Jersey farm in the Phoenix area and from more than 2,000 cows, selected what was a near perfect specimen. Chessie Kimble served as the live model for Goodnight’s “Country Girl.”
”Video enabled me to study the movements of both Chessie and the Jersey cow as they walked, helping me bring the silhouettes to life in 360 degrees,” Goodnight said.
Goodnight’s work is displayed across the world including the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, Okla., and the Allied Museum in Berlin, Germany. The artist is based in Mancos, Colorado.
