This is the largest house for a half mile. It is huge and beautiful! At one time, this home served the Christian community. I found this somewhat surprising that there was an institution such as this during an era and in a community so obviously dominated by Quakers.
Located at 133 East Main Street in downtown Moorestown, this is one of 351 contributing buildings/structures to this historic district.
The Department of the Interior sent me the following narrative/information on this house:
"Second quarter of 19th century (with later additions). 2 1/2-story, 6-register house resided in aluminum. 1-story wood porch with scrollwork bracing. Glazed and paneled entry with 4-light transom. First floor 6/6 double hung sash with paneled shutters, second floor 6/6 double hung. Box cornice. Arch-head dormers with 1/1 double hung sash and shed dormer with paired 6/6 double hung sash. - Contributing.”
