There is a short trail at the south wall of the Crescent Rock Overlook on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah NP that leads to a cliff with a view of Hawksbill Mountain and Nakedtop to the south, Timber Hollow, New Market Gap, and Ida to the west, and Massanutten Mountain and Luray to the north. The view provides a wider view than seen at the overlook.
You can watch some spectacular sunsets from this point, but use caution and common sense particularly when accessing after dark.
