This benchmark is located about 1.5 miles east of Hole in the Ground. From Ore. Hwy. 31 take F.S. Rd. 3145 northeast for 3.4 miles, then turn right on F.S. Rd. 3145 700. Follow the 700 road for about a quarter mile until the road meets a fenceline and a large ponderosa pine. The cap is cemented in a rock outcrop about 30 feet south of the large ponderosa pine. The cap was set by U.S. Forest Service in 1929 and is stamped L, 4586 feet.
