The Burnaby Central Railway has over 2 miles of 7.5" gauge track. The railway provides rides to the public from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays from the Easter weekend through Canadian Thanksgiving (second Monday in October). The track may also be available for operations by members and visitors before and after public running hours and on other days by arrangement.
On our visit there were 2 trains running, one was a diesel and the other one was electric. Information for this waymark came from their website along with a discussion with one of the 'engineers'.
Visit Instructions:Provide a picture of something with the train or related to the train. Possible photos include the train itself at any location along the route, a picture of the scenery with part of the train in view, the kids borrowing the engineer’s hat or of a family member with one of the miniature r.r. crossing signs. Show us you had a good time visiting the train. If the train isn't running when you visit get a photo of one of the miniature railway related items that can be found in locations like this
