The Callaway County Courthouse was build beginning in 1938 with PWA funding. The courthouse replaced an earlier courthouse on the same site which had been completed in 1858. The courthouse is mostly of a traditional style however has some Art Deco details. The courthouse was dedicated March 18, 1940.
