This grand structure is located near the top of Nob Hill across the street from Grace Cathedral. The building was completed in 1958 and houses a public auditorium (with more than 3,100 seats) used for lectures and concerts, a Masonic Museum, and a Masonic Memorial Temple.
The colored frieze at the top of the temple reads "Dedicated to Our Masonic Brethren Who Died in the Cause of Freedom,” and was sculpted by California artist Emile Norman.
