The name may be a bit confusing, if not comical. This actually is not a "swamp" and there really aren't any turkeys here (though the wild turkey is making a comeback in our area). The name comes from the water table in the area, which is just inches below the surface, thus the "swamp" reference. And the town of Adelphia, in which the parks rests, was once called "Turkey"...so there you have it..."Turkey Swamp Park".
The park consists of 2,048 acres including a 17 acre lake, perfect for fishing and boating. There are picnic area which can entertain large groups...soccer fields, archery range and more. We've camped here, the campground has tent and RV site and now even some small cabins to rent.
