Every summer Pukekura Park is lit up as a night-time wonderland that delights young and old alike. Enjoy the fantastic lighting displays of the Festival of Lights combined with a series of night-time entertainment by local and national performers.

This festival is held every summer, running from mid December through to mid February. The location is Pukekura Park, a stunning parkland with walkways amongst the gardens and trees, lakes and fountains and waterfalls. This amazing area is illuminated at night with thousands of brightly coloured lights throughout the trees.
Entertainment is provided every night on open-air stages, bring your own deck-chair or rug and a picnic and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
The whole display is provided FREE and people come from far and wide to enjoy this annual event.
The given co-ordinates will take you to the main entrance off Liardet Street, however there are many entrances to the park, with carparking areas closeby.
The Festival of Lights is sponsored by the Taranaki Savings Bank and the New Plymouth District Council and is a smokefree event.
The TSB Bank Festival of Lights dates for 2008-09 are 14th December 2008 - 8th February 2009!
